ABOUT YELLOW CREEK SCHOOL CENTER STEAM LAB

"STEAM" is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics. It is a traditional take on education in which topics are not taught separately but are applied in engaging immersive learning activities related to real-world, career-focused, problem-solving experiences.

STEAM instruction recognizes that as part of an "academic" institution, there are effective academic strategies that have been proven to improve pedagogical effectiveness, however, STEAM instruction combines these skills with career-related skills that are necessary outside of the academic environment.

Yellow Creek STEAM Lab seeks to utilize adaptive instruction working closely with parents, students, local businesses, and other vested partners to best prepare our students for career and college readiness.
